Oil / Vinegar Pairings
The pairing of oils with different oils or oils with vinegars or even vinegars with different vinegars goes back for many centuries. Below are a few ideas for your pairing pleasure. These can be drizzled, blended into marinades or vinaigrettes which takes on a more complex set of flavors for your culinary pleasure.
When combining oil and vinegars, use the following rule of thumb for consistent results:
Vinaigrettes - combine 2/3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar
Marinades - combine 1 part oil with 1 part vinegar
